Duterte declara alto el foc amb NPA, Jose María Sisón accepta la proposta
El president filipí va declarar l'alto el foc total amb el PCP, NDF i la seva ala armada, New People's Army (NPA) el 25 de juliol. Rodrigo Duterte va dir textualment "Acabem amb dècades d'emboscades". Ha ofert negociacions i el líder maoista Jose María Sisón, a l'exili, ha anunciat que es reunirà amb el mandatari recentment escollit.

TIKKO segresta i executa un civil a Dersim
La guerrilla del Partit Comunista de Turquia (Marxista Leninista) o TKP ML va segrestar el civil, Erkan Dogan, el 18 de juliol. Havien posat un control de carretera a Hozat, al Dersim o Tunceli. Quatre dies més tard va aparèixer el cos sense vida. Se suposa que TIKKO el va jutjar per informador policial. En un comunicat posterior l'han acusat de ser el delator que va dur a la mort dels dos guerrillers de TIKKO Haydar Argal i Murat Tekgöz el 6 de maig.India Two Maoists killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh

launched

Reserve
Group
(DRG)
and
a
team
of
local
Police
in
co-ordination
with
Andhra
Pradesh
Police
under
Konta
Police
Station
limits,
Sukma
Superintendent

Police
(SP)

Kalyan
Elesela
said.
After
receiving
inputs
about
movement
of
lower-rung
cadre
in
the
forests
of
Konta
bordering
East
Godavari
District
in
Andhra
Pradesh,
SFs
were
mobilized
towards
the
region,
he
said.
When
the
SFs
were
cordoning
off
Pusguda
forests
on
Gangraj
hills,
armed
insurgents
opened
fire
on
them,
triggering
a
gun-fight
between
the
two
sides,
the
SP
said.
"During
searches,
bodies
of
two
Naxals
(Left
Wing
Extremists,
LWEs)
besides
as
many
muzzle
loading
guns
were
recovered
from
the
spot,"
he
said.
"The
identity
of
the
killed
rebels
is
being
ascertained,"
the
SP
added
